The charger became viral
With the coming of the Internet;
It has become a vital necessity
Since the age of machines began.
Without it, life seems useless,
For people everywhere;
All the joy and peace of old
Seem lost beyond repair.
Cars, mobiles, inverters,
Tablets, laptops, computers—
All these mechanical wonders
Depend upon their chargers.
If it is lost or stops working,
What a terrible distress!
Sleep, peace and calm are stolen;
Life becomes a nervous mess.
Before food and even water,
The charger gets its turn;
When it cannot be found,
Restlessness begins to burn.
Livelihood and transportation,
Daily work and every chore—
Everything depends upon it;
Without it, nothing moves anymore.
It has made even the selfish
Old and elderly folks appear;
Just take away their charger—
And see the change that will appear!
Someone took away my charger
And never brought it back.
“Where have you kept it?
Or thrown it somewhere in a sack?”
That is why I never give it
Unless you ask me first;
You take my things so casually,
And leave them lost or worse.
I have my Gita class to attend,
And a health Zoom meeting too;
I listen to the Ram Raksha Stotra
Every morning, as I do.
Taking it is not the problem—
Just bring it back to me!
I have my own necessities;
Why can’t you understand and see?
Grandpa’s anger and annoyance
Are all because of this;
A charged mobile gives him time,
Entertainment, fun and bliss.
The whole world searches for chargers—
Children, elders, young and old;
They have become a source of entertainment,
And modernity’s symbol bold.
