The Sacred Festival of the Goddess
The sacred Sharadiya Navratri has arrived,
And life and vibrancy fill the world.
Devotees spread flowers along the path,
Where the enchanting Mother Bhavani walks.
As the auspicious days of Dev Paksha dawn,
Worship and prayers begin anew.
The devotees share a priceless bond
Of deep devotion with Mother Bhavani.
Bearing the radiance of all the gods,
The mighty Goddess arrives once more,
Bestowing happiness, peace, protection, and health,
Just as she has in the years before.
Shailputri, Brahmacharini, and Gauri,
Katyayani and Skandamata, too;
Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, and Siddhidatri—
Devotees worship them and receive their blessings anew.
They bring the Goddess to her sacred throne,
Accompanied by the divine Mahavidyas.
With reverence, all offer flowers of devotion
Into the gentle hands of the Divine Mothers.
They observe their fasts and install the sacred kalash,
As devotees gather from every corner of the world.
They offer the finest things they can provide,
Choosing gifts that please their beloved Mother.
As each heart holds its own vision of the Goddess,
So does she respond to every devotee’s prayer.
Entering every home as the Supreme Divine Mother,
She fills each heart with joy beyond compare.
All sacred shrines awaken once again,
Radiating positive and divine energy.
The Mother fulfils the wishes of her devotees,
Blessing them with prosperity and abundance.
She brings happiness to those weighed down by sorrow,
And restores the health of those who suffer from disease.
She blesses childless women with the joy of motherhood,
And grants the poor abundance and ease.
Those who worship her with a pure heart,
With inner devotion, sincerity, and grace,
Find success gradually entering their lives,
Through the Mother’s blessings and loving embrace.
O Mother, take away the sorrows and suffering
Of all the people living in this world.
Fulfil every hope and cherished aspiration,
And bless us with joy and peace, dear Mother.
