The World Has Become a Marketplace

— July 23

The marketplace has grown so vast,
Across the world its shadows cast.
People are busy buying and selling,
A bustling world, forever swelling.

Online or offline, every way
Stands open to us every day.
From the comfort of our homes we choose,
Whatever we wish, we simply use.

Food is sold in every land,
Along with knowledge, science at hand.
Cosmetics, bells, garlands bright,
Sandalwood spreads its fragrant delight.

Education is sold, initiation too,
Stories, sermons, jokes anew.
Sellers and buyers fill the square,
Trading goods everywhere.

Ministers, guards, officers, engineers,
Judges, collectors, clerks, registrars—
All stand ready with a price,
Where wealth alone may suffice.

Such speed in trade we’ve never seen,
Nor heard of in the years between.
From home you can buy the world today;
Competition leads the way.

Order again, return with ease,
No restrictions, no guarantees.
The marketplace has reached each door,
The race for more goes on and more.

Its boundaries stretch beyond the sky,
Even the Moon is offered to buy.
The ten directions of outer space
Now shine with satellites in place.

Study what you wish to be—
A doctor, engineer, or CPA.
But without a mind for enterprise,
Success may never truly arise.

You can sell almost anything,
If you learn the marketer’s wing.
Master the art with skill and care,
And opportunities will be everywhere.
